when you wear this tote, you're carrying the memoir of a real leaf that existed in my friend's backyard this fall.

I hand-painted the leaf with screen-printing ink on denim from my up-cycled jeans, which means it's permanent and totally soft and washable! (also very resistant to wrinkles).

The patch is hand-sewn using sashiko thread; a durable cotton strand used in Japanese-style mending.
